The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. Neil

Remember this is only the 'upper' area. I still have to cover the 'lower storage area', 2 fense lines, and of course the several buildings, so there will be some gaps till I can do a precise vehicle location listing. BUT your questions are fairly easily answered.

I know, I'm just marking (as an interim step before finalization) what has been confirmed at RMP. Many thanks again!

1) LVT (#9)

Everyone agree this is an LVT4?

Neil

2) This may be a previously unlisted M5. It arrived back in 2004 or 2005. Its always been in RMP.

Okay, any help you can give on the other two M5 Stuarts would be appreciated as well.

5) A slight mistake, #59 is an M41 from Crawfordsville, not M47. Thanks for the correction.

Hmm... Yeah, now I'm confused as well... I have listed an M41 with SN 3200 3139, and an M47 Patton with SN 3200... I only have the M47 Patton listed as coming from Crawfordsville...

NOW I'M CONFUSED.....

I guess I was a bit too quick to buckle under the confusion. I do believe it is the M47 as I have an Italian Data plate photo which I 'assumed' that the given SN is from that data plate. I'll dig around for other photos I know I have of that vehicle to confirm.

With that in mind: I am trying to do the other areas by my hundreds of 'dated' photos and my sketchy memory. I'll then use the basic layout diagrams to add or subtract any differences. I should have more lists and diagrams later today.

Yeah, I had to change. With all this M60 stuff, I wanted to remind the masses I'm strictly a 'Jedi-tanker'.

Yeah, I know,

As much as I lament on M60's, M1's were where I spent the most time (M1IP, M1A1). A fine tank.

Do you think when we get about Doug's age we'll be counting as many M1's on static display Laughing

Thanks again Don!

I assume you still have the vehicles stored indoor to cover right?

4 M3A1 Light // 2564 / W304172
5 M3A1 Light // 6826

These two Stuarts appear to be "new"?

9 Sd Kfz 138 Ausf M // 3419

This is the Munitionspanzer 38(t) Ausf M right?

13 T17E1 Staghound // F221123

Is this the Staghound that was in the LST Building, or another one?

Thanks again!

Yes, the buildings contents are still to be recorded.
Geez, just can't seem to please SOME PEOPLE... Wink

#4 & #5 (M3A1's) are previous runners. They are not new, perhaps just got overlooked since they were being shifted around or being worked on.

#9 (Sd Kfz 138 Ausf M) is the 38t Munitionspanzer.

The T17E1 Staghound was moved from the LST building last week.
