The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi,

Telfare..."accurate to ranges of 1600m"...HA! Maybe with a new M2 with still-tight tolerances. With the half-worn out M2s in service with most of the Army, you were lucky to hit a full-size target twice in a row at 800m! Since the M2 is an "area-effect" MG...well, what did we expect? Rolling Eyes

And I see that the "Duck Hunters" were worrying about their relevance even back then. Using Hercules rockets in surfance-to-surface mode...talk about expensive artillery shells! Shocked

Using Telefare at 1600m is actually like a 'call for fire' excersise. Unfortunately it was actually used, during training ammo shortages as a replacement, which it is not!! "SHOT, OVER.................." Don
