What model Sherman?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Can someone tell me what model of Sherman this is? Thanx! Medic gives a shot to soldier near front line. Tank behind soldiers with "Rice's" and "61938" stenciled on side. 3/12/1951. Korean War. BIGGER PHOTO _________________ "TUMBLEWEED"

Based on the angle of the rear hull plate, I'd say it's a M4A3E8 Mike Haines

I think the tank name is "Rice's Red Devils". Using a 'super-zoom' on the 'Bigger Photo' you can just barely make out the word 'Red' in the star and I think 'Devil' on the other side. Korean War would be the 'Easy Eight', isn't it? MySherman ID skills are sub-par. Don
