Here are all the out door displays at the Shelby Museum.

I titled the pictures and added serial numbers if I found them.

The Museum was closed (Sunday morning) and I only had that day (AM) to be there. Weather delayed me and cost me a day. I have more pictures so if anyone needs a certain angle let me know, I might have what your looking for.

I found the SN for the M7B2 on the back left like you mentioned before, but the paint was too thick to determine what it actually read. You could make out three numbers.

I am posting the Artillery on the appropriate forum.

The Abrams has 004 stamped on the skirts? Did you happen to get any pics of the rear of the turret? I'm wondering if its an FSED XM1 Abrams, or an LRIP model...

Neil,

She looks like a standard XM-1. Just has a low SN 0004 stamped on her, all skirts match BTW.

Here is a picture of the environmental plate area.

Actually, it looks like standard M1 Abrams, likely an LRIP model - rather than an FSED XM1 pilot vehicle...

The latter has a slab that runs down instead of up - like in this one identified by Jeff.

That's what I meant,

We used to call the early M1's XM-1's. They were really a completely different tank from the IP and IPM's we had. Many upgrades and mods to make them better. The IP and IPM's had more in common with the M1A1's than the early M1's believe it or not.
