That photo was taken in my home town of Brisbane in 1943 at the RNA showgrounds.

I can't imagine what it was like inside when it landed though .....

upon landing,.....blood & bruises, and several broken or missing teeth Shocked

After a loud gasping exhale when the air is knocked out of the crew. Usually a few brusied or broken ribs are also the result.

Closest I got was a car/wreck at NTC with my VISMOD T72.

Not the same though.

I ran over a half-track in Hohenfels too.
