Nice M60 Photo
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Great shot. Since there were no "terrain following" rounds for M60's, and the fact those tracers all take their first "dip" and "rise" at the same place (between first and second berm), I'd guess that the pic is on chemical film with a long exposure time and the camera shook from the report of the various vehicles.

Love those steps formed by ammo boxes. Never seen that done before, we just climbed the drive sprocket when mounting tanks on the firing line.

Looks like how we shot in Basic,

A little before my time though, M60A1 IR's from what I can tell.

No obvious hit though, at least not against a hard target. As I recall, at night you could always tell when a round hit home - very satisfying!

I bet those ammo boxes make delivering the live rounds a bit less scary ... and hazardous too.

I have to be honest and say this is now my new background picture for my desktop, replacing a longtime M47 b&w.

Everyone likes it.
