Took these when tracking an M60 in Aberdeen MS,

I noticed this today, and although the photos are missing here, I have found no less than three of these weapons in and around the Foley AL area. One is located next to AL 59 to the north of Foley, and the other two are secreted away in small towns off of US 98 on the way over to Pensacola FL.

From the numbers involved, I speculate that the AL ANG unit in Foley, now a signal battalion but formerly a infantry regiment AT company, may have once been a field artillery battalion. In front of the armory (located on Armory Street, no less) are a pair of late WWII 76 mm anti-tank guns, the ones with the funny little shield.

Also found just to the south of Foley AL, on the grounds of a local Legion or VFW post, are an M60A1 and a medium Minenwerfer from World War I.
