M2?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Re: M2?

Chris - Are you sure? I thought the M2A3 had the seperate turrets for the .30 and .50 cal guns. This tank appears to have a single turret. I think that might make it an M1 or one of the 'combat cars' (I would have to dig up the actual numbering of them when they were murged into the 'tank' numbers, It was a a beaucratic thing since the Cavalry wasn't allowed to have 'tanks')

Never mind - I just looked closer at the 'bigger picture' and it does appear to have twin turrets. The cupola was throing me off. I thought that was only on teh single turret vehicles. But I just found some other pictures that show teh twin turrets with the cupola on the fifty cal turret
