Lingle action
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I'm sure the good citizens of Gwinnett County, Georgia appreciate their money being spent on M114s.

They probably will if it's ever needed, and a promotional video with an edge and some humor is something I think most of us can enjoy for what it is. If the citizenry doesn't agree, they can register their concerns in the forum of elections.

Thanks for posting the videos!

No matter how you feel about who owns them or whether they should, it's still two Lingles still alive and kickin', so that can't be all bad.

(Personally, I think police AFVs are sort of like legal concealed weapons: Pretty useless unless you need it, and you hope you never need it, but if you need it you REALLY need it...right now!)

Well said Chuck Cool Not all the monies involved with projects such as these come from "good citizens" Wink
Here’s a few tidbits:
Sheriff Conway was elected in 1996, and is still the Sheriff.
The M114 was donated in 2005, and is still part of the fleet.
The LAV-150 was assigned to the Sheriff’s dept in 2008, from surplus. (We are currently upgrading this machine)
