APG #4: T165E2 Ontos, T88 HMC, T23s
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The vehicles that were in the lot along with an active motor pool have also been moved

Sorry Don, those doors are welded shut. Why, I dont know... But the only way you are getting in is with a blow-torch...

Unfortunately I cannot find a strip with the SN near the left fender on either example like Don found on Knox's T23...



Inside the turret - pretty certain thats equipment from being used as an armored videocamera stand...









Oh yeah, anyone catch anything in these pictures that doesnt seem to belong? Wink

You got it... Actually my Mustang has snuck into a bunch of pics before... It was the Ambulance - one of the tour members brought his M43 3/4-ton ambulance on post... It was kinda funny leading that ambulance around post...

Too bad I couldn't locate track for it. Although I have found some 'spare' track, it comes with a bit of an unreasonable price.

Just a thought,.....Perhaps a portable grinder would do the trick. I've gotten a lot of experience in weld grinding lately.... Wink Cool

Last I heard there were no plans for them. Ever since they came out from behind the fence a few years ago I have been trying to convince folks that at least one should be put into the collection and the other preserved for future use. It will be interesting to see what happens when they start moving items to Ft Lee
