Looking for pics of FT-17 engine
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Looking for pics of FT-17 engine

A good friend of mine is looking for this, he is a guy who really deserve, he has been running our local IPMS club for years.

He collected all he needs to build a model with full interiors, but still missing material about the engine and its bay.

Please note he is looking for FT-17, not Six Ton.

I was aware a tank was recently restored at Patton and pointed him to this page www.armorfortheages.co...18page.htm

Is anybody who can provide more pics? Either from Patton, Saumur or anywhere else?

I can take some shots of the engine compartment as it is on the FT 18 that you referred to, in the Patton Museum. The other FT 18 is in storage, but the engine compartment is accessable and engine detail is possible.

I have taken some photos in the past, but I'll have to dig thru and try to locate them. Not sure if there are any detailed shots of engine.

I will see about getting some photos for you next time I'm at the museum or the storage area.

Thanks a lot Don, I really appreciate it. I usually don't do this kind of requests on behalf of other people, but this guy has been a driving force of our local modelling community for decades. Again, no need to hurry, it's not urgent. Best Massimo
