How You Know You Are a Tanker
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: How You Know You Are a Tanker

I know some of you guys may be getting a little stressed out over the server issues (I am! Need my AFV fix daily!) Decided to post this:

How you know yer a Tanker.
1. You've ever been pulled over and fined for riding with your head sticking
out your car's sun roof.
2. You think of ground pounders as speed bumps
3. You chuckle when your hunting buddies talk about the awesome stopping
power of the . 308 Winchester.
4. You named your son Roger.
5. You drive a '59 Caddy because you like "the feel of a lot of American
iron."
6. You've ever referred to a infantryman as a crunchie.
7. You Tell MP's and Crunchies where to shove it.. .
8. You refer to the Gulf War as "The big one of 91."
9. Your kids call the sandbox "NTC". .
10. You consider a sand table exercise as a middle east deployment.
11. You consider a hasty defense just aiming the gun.
12. You think 19Kilo should be 19Sweep.
13. You get mad when NOMEX is referred to as the tanker suit.
14. You rank monster trucks between a Bradley and a M1 tank.
15. You carry a tanker bar in your POV.
16. You wish Suburbans weren't so expensive.
17. Before your son/daughter can use your car they must complete a request
for dispatch.
18. Your older kids call the youngest one "Cherry" or “FNG”.
19. When your family gets together you call them "Slice Elements".

21. You announce "Power" when you turn on the ignition.
22. You refer to "lug nuts" as "wedge bolts".
23. You know from experience that your cars crankcase won't hold 32 gal.
24. When your car won't start, you declare it "deadlined" until repaired.

I resemble many of those,....

But you forgot,.....

25) You carry an M113 track block in your vehicle to be used as a 'chock block' ( Wink )

26) There is the old manual end connector puller buried in your car trunk ( Wink )

Cool
