Help/Pics Needed - Crusader prototypes, Yuma PG, AZ
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Starting over with different threads of specific vehicles for the USA AFV Register. Pics needed & additional info welcome - assuming these are in the publicly accessible areas of the post:

Storage Yard
XM2001 Crusader SPH USA std Prototype SPH2 1
XM2002 Crusader RSV USA std Re-Supply Vehicle prototype

Thanks!

Neil,

Both the Crusader SPH and the Re-Supply vehicle are stored on the Kofa firing range side of YPG in the storage yard behind our gunner's building.

They were moved here earlier this year from the gun position were they had been tested.

I can't get pictures of them as you have to have a YPG photo pass and get permission to take pictures.

I have pictures and s/n for the M60A1 at the VFW on US-95. Where would you like me to post them? It has a number on the front hull 8753 and a number on the rear tow lug 1257, so I am not sure which one is correct.

BB-61,
Thanks for the info.

Please go ahead & post the pictures here! Including of those SNs if you photographed them...

BTW, any info on what will happen to the NLOS-C demonstrators/prototypes?

I lived near parker and never saw anything. Bouse is in La Paz County I believe. Probably same vehicles. The Indian reservation has an M114 in Parker for SWAT but it's not on public display.

Neil,

I don't have pictures of the s/n's on the M60A1, but will stop on my way home from work tomorrow and get them for you.
Here are pictures of the tank itself.

The NLOS-C demonstrators/prototypes are still at the gun positions where they were tested. The instrumentation is still connected to them. I don't know their future yet but a rumor going around says there's a replacement on the drawing board.

I will see what I can do about the rest of your list. I've been to Davis-Monthan AFB a number of times but seem to have been missing the T-54. My next trip to NM I will stop by and see if I can get a picture.
