The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. I will admit to needing a pistol lanyard once. The Browning slid out of the issue holster while slithering through some sort of swamp floodplain vegetation. I felt a different tension on the belt and something hitting my shin. Better to be embarrassed than charged for losing a pistol.

Mind you, I did have an administrative deduction off my pay for losing a pair of 10x50 binoculars. Two of us took the blame, and I paid something like $37.50 which was 50% of the book value in 1944 or 45 when they were taken on inventory.
