NEW - 1/35 ONTOS kit from Academy
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

oh yes, but I am mean for the model. I hope they modeled a decent interior or at least something you can build up from.
Thanks Don. You put your signature in there somewhere-- you signed your work??

DUDE!!

Congratulations!

Its been a little rough for the past year or so, on this end, but hey it can't always be good. Anyway, with all the 'hobbies', I'm trying to keep busy.

Regards
Don

And them Saints are looking pretty good too!. Will get the Squadron book next week. That "Thundering Six Guns" patch you posted one time, was that real or something you made up?

Yeah, I made it up for the Ontos Vets back in 2003 or 04.

I got the basic idea off the back of a Marines 'flak jacket' in a photo from Hue during TET 68. I the background a Marine had his back to the camera and it showed the 'Thundering Six Guns' within an outline I used for the patch design.

I dressed it up, adding the RSVN Flag, Ontos image, with the 1st, 3rd, & 5th AT written in. Those three AT Bns had elements and personnel which all served 'In Country' from 1965 thru 1970.

Thanks Don. I found an image of just the patch I had downloaded when you first posted it awhile back. Gonna use it for a backdrop for the model once completed.
