Looking for info about book
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Does someone have this book and can tell if it is usefull in identifying the various sub-variants of the T-54/55/62/64/72/80 etc.? Soviet/Russian Armor and Artillery Design Practices: 1945 To Present Thanks in advance, Regards, Lesley

I do have this book.
It doesn't really do what you ask, as it focuses solely on Soviet Design practices, and covers too many vehicles to be specific to that degree.
For detail differences of T54/55 the best book is probably the Wings & Wheels publication, though that is heavily slanted toward Slovak built tanks.
Concorde also did a nice book by Steve Zaloga, which does a good job of detailing the differences (Actually there are 3 books, 1 on T54/55/62 and 1 on T72 and 1 on T64/T80)
For in depth detail of the Soviet tanks you can do no better than the factory books on T54/55, Tanks of the 60s, which covers T62, IT1 etc, and T72.

Honestly, not worth that much!! It is a coffee table book.
