Things you see on I-95 these days...
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Used to see a lot of MRAPs... On this trip, I saw a M-ATV on the way down to SC, and one on the way back.

I see the MRAPs coming eastbound on I-70 occasionally funny thing is I never see them on I-270 (headed towards Washington) Usually I see them late afternoon so I wonder if they purposly time their trips to go around DC at night?

Occasionaly I see Bradleys around Frederick. It used to be that they would be on I-70 heading west. Now I see them headed North on US-15

I've always wondered where they are heading. These are always beat to crap vehicles so I sort of think they are headed to Indiatown Gap (Big logistics center I think) or one of the factories near York PA (CAT and BMY are up there)

Then there is the occasional AAV hull (That's right just the hull) we see usually headed east/south bound

I know that in addition to being the location of Force Protection, Charleston is also where a lot of MRAP final integration (radios, antennas, etc) is done and it's where they are all shipped overseas from.

Force Protection also has a facility located here in the bustling megalopolis of Roxboro, NC. Hope to get to know somebody there.

You have any contact names off the top your head, Neil?
