(I don't know if this is an M26 or M46 but the soldiers appear to be Marines). Operation TUMBLER-SNAPPER Men looking at tank for damage. Tank was still operational. Why do you say M46 for sure? The only sure fired ID points I know of between them are on the aft end (engine, drive train). What tells you this is an M46 _________________ Bob Smart ([email protected])

No, the tool tray on the front glacis. No M26A1 or M26 had this. I built a M26A1 and really wanted to make the M46, but after learning ALL the modifications needed to make it I stayed with the M26 platform. That one seems to be the Charlie though the dates don't perfectly match. Impressive vehicle that would suffer such minor damage against a 31 kt yield. nuclearweaponarchive.o...blers.html
