The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I'm late to the discussion, and maybe I missed something, but what is that "armored station wagon" on the far right?

- panamadan Is the Stingray the same as the XM8? Dan No. The Stingray was Cadillac Gage's offering for the Armored Gun System (AGS) program. XM8 was FMC's offering. Neil

That's a Peacekeeper II prototype - an attempt by Textron a decade or two ago to update the Peacekeeper / Ranger (used by USAF and law enforcement) to modern automotive standards for law enforcement use...
