Help/Pics Needed - Fort Knox, KY
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

opps, I will correct that. I won't be able to access RMP till next week with a return to a normal work schedule of federal employees. But I'll continue to hit the rest of the Onpost Statics, Museum, & Keyes Park in the next few days. I'll do a 100% reshoot of the remaining vehicles & confirm / reconfirm any SN data. Regards Don

Actually I had it as an error as well, albeit as a Yugoslav M84 tank-based ARV... But the SN/RN you have makes a lot more sense as an M74 - albeit perhaps an ex-French one? s44.photobucket.com/al...M84ARV.jpg

Oh, okay. I've always know it as an M84. Clueless on any difference, but it is infact from France. Guess I need somemore 'schooling'. Regards Don

An M74 is a Sherman-based Tank Recovery Vehicle afvdb.50megs.com/usa/trvm74.html An M84 is either: A) US 1950s M59-based mortar carrier; or B) Yugoslav T-72-based tank. AFAIK, there is no Sherman-based TRV known as an "M84" Neil
