In all probability due to an erroneous action on my side.......I have a black bar at the bottom of my screen. Since my knowledge of the electronical intricacies involving settings, changes in whatever files etc is strictly and severely limited I crie for HELP and hope that one of you will show me ,patiently ,the way to get back to my normal view , please

Did you install any new drivers lately ? what Vidcard are you using and wich driver do you have installed ? which OS are you using, XP, Vista, W7 also 32 or 64 bit ?

that's the reason I did not answer your thoughtful question right away. Laughing

Now, a little more at ease I'll give it a try:
It's XP with service packs etc. 32 bit; an nVidia card 8800GT; driver # 190.62; no, did not shift or change drivers...but hassled around with various aircraft originally configured for FS9...and it occurs only when "enjoying" FSX.
It would be another wonderful thing if it is not too difficult to mend...I'm trusting your wisdom !
