Germany AFV Registers
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Looking at the Panther's PDF looks like you were there in February 2007 as well. So I guess you met some snow too, right?

Because we are discussing Panther tanks now Wink

Who has any information about the Flick military vehicle collection in Germany

There is an lot of different info about everything from this collection
Ranging from biggest private AFV collection in the world to just an single Panther ausf A tank

To only thing that will be right, sofar:
- private collection, not open for public
- in the collection an Panther ausf A (confirmed in 2004)
- there is an large private collection of modern art Mr. Green

Everything else, urban legend Confused Confused
I found different stuff on forum's about this collections stating that there would be:
Pz III, Pz IV, Panther A (from an British scrapyard), Panther G (with steel road wheels on last wheel station), Sherman tank, every type of German WW2 AFV represented, etc

Who know's more Confused

- private collection, not open for public that's confirmed. I would also add that it is open to very very few people..
- in the collection an Panther ausf A (confirmed in 2004) that was confirmed in 2009 by a guy who personally knows Herr Flick (that means that the tank was still owned by Herr Flick in 2009). He did take a few photos of the tank, but I'm not allowed to show them to you. The owner don't want them to be publicly released.
- there is an large private collection of modern art Mr. Green don't know anything about this fact

Massimo,

the pictures I have of the Sherman M4A1(75) Dozer "Valmy" and of the Jagdpanther are not very good. Do you have better photos of them?

For the Sherman dozer, I had some light problems, because it was displayed in a part of the museum that is not very well lightened.
For the Jagdpanther, you did see that it can't be easily approached, and the pictures I have are blurred, because of the distance..

thanks

Pierre-Olivier

The Jagdpanther is hidden in the middle of the diorama. Things are much better for the Sherman Dozer. I'll post what I have soon.

So the mistery remains about the Flick collection Wink

Concerning the art collection, it is going an little of topic
However it is the only collection that can actually be found in combination with the Flick family

It is one of the biggest privately owned collections in the world, big part of it is on loan in an Berlin Museum

Let get back to the original topic: German AFV register Cool

The mortar carrier is most likely an Schutzenpanzer (lang) HS 30 Panzermorser

I can now confirm this. Thanks for the help

Your welcome Wink

And I did not even see an picture of it

Could some one help me out with list from Massimo, concerning the users of the various tanks Confused
And I do not mean the obvious one's of course

For example the various M4 Sherman, the German army did not use them
To my knowledge they started after WW2 with the M48, perhaps the M47

So they could be American, British or French

Michel
