Mark,
Thanks. Looks like they have moved a few of the vehicles from the old 3rd ACR Museum to a new location for the new 4th ID Museum. That plus I think the Half-Track, and probably the M2 Bradley, are from the old 4th ID Museum at Fort Hood.

I thought possiby this was 'new' stuff. The 3d Cav would have moved their stuff to Fort Hood. We might need to investigate.

I already have a list of what the 3rd ACR brought with them from Hood, and have been able to positively ID a few vehicles (such as the Stuart) that were already at Fort Carson (but at another location).

Here's how I have updated the Fort Carson listing. New museum includes positively IDed vehicles + vehicles moved from Hood. Old museum includes what has not yet been positively IDed at the new museum.

Smile OK. So the photos are all 4th ID stuff that is being brought in to Carson. (I think you ment 4th ID in your post instead of 3rd ACR?) So it looks like you got them all covered.

At the very least, the M5 Stuart identified by globemaster3 was already at Fort Carson prior to the 4th ID move (sorry, I did mix that up before).

M5 Stuart USA out Painted RN 3043438
good-times.webshots.co...3157OuVQYD (old walk-around at Fort Carson)
www.flickr.com/photos/...404420973/ (new pic at Fort Carson - note the painted RN is the same)

I believe the M47 Patton was also already at Fort Carson
good-times.webshots.co...4735nzUZBn (old walk-around at Fort Carson)
www.flickr.com/photos/...4404415463 (new pic)

There was also an M60A1 already at Carson, but I didnt have a pic of it - so cant confirm if this is it or not.

Ditto for an M551 Sheridan (it sure didnt come from Hood)

The following clearly moved with the 4th ID from Fort Hood:

M1 Abrams USA out SN D739, RN JZCIDD, turret no. 3401 - Formerly displayed at the 4th Infantry Division HQ at Fort Hood, Texas.
i64.photobucket.com/al...1front.jpg (old Hood)

M2 Bradley USA out RN? C5TLV - Formerly displayed at the 4th Infantry Division HQ at Fort Hood, Texas.

M3? Half-Track USA out Formerly at 4th ID Museum Fort Hood
www.flickr.com/photos/...404422721/ (new Carson)
i49.photobucket.com/al...Tracks.jpg (old Hood)

I'm not completely certain about where the following came from (previously), identified by globemaster3 now at Fort Carson - but I suspect they were already at Carson...

M48 Patton USA out

M114 USA out

M114A1 USA out
www.flickr.com/photos/...404411737/

M728 USA out

The following also moved with the 4th ID from Fort Hood, but have yet to be positively IDed at Fort Carson:

M3 Scout Car USA std? Formerly at 4th ID Museum Fort Hood (no pic)

M4A3E8 Sherman Easy Eight USA out? SN 63350, “Barfly”
i49.photobucket.com/al...yfront.jpg

M42 Duster USA out? Formerly at 4th ID Museum Fort Hood
i49.photobucket.com/al...n/APCs.jpg

M59 USA out? Painted RN 12K954; fmrly Fort Hood
i303.photobucket.com/a...0_0896.jpg

M75 USA out? Ptd RN 12K954/40228469; fmr Hood

M84 USA out? Painted RN 147623; fmrly Fort Hood
i303.photobucket.com/a...0_0892.jpg

M113A2 USA out? Formerly at 4th ID Museum Fort Hood
i49.photobucket.com/al...n/APCs.jpg

That leaves the following from the old 3rd ACR Museum (they only took a Half-Track with them to Hood):

BMP-1 USA out

M4A3 Sherman / Jumbo turret USA out

Neil,

After reviewing my pictures I am about 95% sure that M60A1 is the same one that has been there prior to 4 ID moving to Hood and ended up in the 3rd ACR collection while they were there. Nice to know she's with 4th ID again, since that's who she belonged to originally.
