Brings back memories,

I live 5 minutes from a former SAC base (Eaker/Blytheville AFB). Whenever I used to call my Wife from Korea (my first tour) I'd hope they wouldn't blow an alert, since you couldn't even talk on the phone from all the noise. The base closed in 92 and all the "Buff"s left. It's now a civilian airport and we now have a couple of aviation repair companies here. We still get the occasional C130 fly by from Little Rock but mostly it's civilian aircraft coming in for rebuild. The old alert apron and facilities are closed and the alert quarters now house our Humane Society Kennels and thrift store Sad .

Elephant Walk, now that aptly describes the roll out Laughing .
