Looking for photos: sight 'doghouses' M60's
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

By the time we started getting GPS type equipment, the M60 was pretty much out of the Active Army. The closest you'll get to seeing any GPS receiver on one would be the small green disc about the diameter of a hockey puck but only about an inch thick for the AN/PSN-11 PLGR or "Plugger" as we called them. Basically a hand held military GPS with encryption capability. They made a vehicle installation kit which required an external antenna, hence the "Hockey Puck", which would be magnetically attached to the outside wherever the crew decided to stick it. These kits were installed in select tanks in the company (CO/XO/PL) depending how many the Guard were allocated.
