Las Vegas, Nevada May 1st, 2010
Deputy Ian Deutch of the Nye County Sheriff's Office was laid to rest today. Last week he was shot to death by a gunman having a bad day with his girlfriend. Deputy Deutch was a member of the Nevada Army National Guard and had been back on duty for only two days after returning from a tour in Afghanistan. He belonged to 1 Squadron (Wildhorse), 221st Cavalry a unit attached to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Fort Irwin, California. He leaves a wife and two children. Tragic. That's all it is...just tragic. And all because some redneck had too much to drink and couldn't get along with his girlfriend.

Surviving a-stan and then this.... May he RIP. The most sad are his children (and wife), growing up without a daddy (and husband).
