Trip to Fort Benning
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Lesley,

Here is a picture of the T72 s/n. I couldn't make it out.

T72 s/n

Neil,
I should be heading back to Benning in the next 6-8 weeks. I'll have more time to track down the missing vehicles when I do. I can say the M48C is still there. I didn't see it but my friend said it was.

Not sure if any of these will help. They may have been moved since the pictures were taken, but...

There's a half track, looks like with quad mount at
32.408670 -84.905957

There's an M48 at
32.369840 -84.890230

Bunch of Russian tanks at
32.372330 -84.892766

There's a Stewart at
32.416038 -84.886144

That's an area I didn't have time to check out,

Neil,
Here are two images of the M48C my friend sent me you can use if you want.

Joe,
Did you ever get a chance to go back to Benning (I know you posted more pics in September), including checking out Infantry Hall on Burr St?

Also, is this M48 i49.photobucket.com/al...489023.jpg the same as this one? news.webshots.com/phot...2157GkisRi

Looks like it might be the same location in Kelley Hill?

Also this M3A1 Stuart (different from the Stuart you posted) on Sand Hill

E12JM1N..., the last three digits? It is a december 1987 Polish built T-72M1.

Now I have 3 different T-72M1 at Fort Benning, is this correct?

T-72M1 sn Ch09VT5771 (former Ft Knox)
T-72M1 sn K11VT8014 (Kelly Hill, Ivy Rd)
T-72M1 sn E12JM1N... at ....

regards,
Lesley

I can make out the Bradley and 3 other vehicles at what used to be Infantry Hall, now the Maneuver Center of Excellence via Bing.
