I saw an ad where they are looking for Abrams mechs at Fort Hood. It says you will also be working on the M104 armored bridge. I didn't know the Army had bought these. Is that new? If anyone is interested they are paying $19 an hour. 19K's welcome to apply. I think it's a company recruiting for General Dynamics. See link:

Army has had a small number leftover (44 according to wikipedia) since the initial procurement. I heard that many of them were at Hood - which is natural with III Corps being there (almost certainly corps-level engineer assets) and saw one or two at Knox some years ago.

I remember them running around Hood back in 1999-2000, when 4th ID was testing them.

Of course that is real outdated info, but it make sense that they are at Ft Hood.
