There is (or was, in 2006) two M1A1 tanks on display at the Patton Museum on 2006.

One inside, the other outside in Keyes Park.

Can anyone tell me what specific versions of M1A1 these are/were?

Obviously the "boys from Knox" can get more specific, but the one that was just in front of the museum building is the initial production prototype of the M1, and the one inside is an M1A1 that is supposed to represent a tank from OIF.

I remember the one outside was unusual in that it was an M1A1 but did not have the mount for the CITV like most of the M1A1's have. Dontos can tell you more.

There are 3 Abrams vehicles displayed in & around the Museum (for now at least...)

XM-1: prototype located in the parking lot having been moved from it display pad.

M1A1: displayed infront of the museum repainted with ODS 4th ID markings.

M1E1: the M1A1 display in the OIF gallery representing an M1A1 of 1st AD's, named 'Answer to This', the first tank to enter Baghdad, during 1st AD's 'Thunder Run'.
