Post subject: New to the area, questions?

~S~ All! I didn't mean to place those photos in the public gallery. I was hoping to generate an Avatar, but it doesn't appear to be working.

Certain that I'm doing something incorrectly, can anyone give me a little help? I'd like to patch my mistakes. I'm currently running Flight -Simulator 2002 but I am far from Expert.

Thank you for your help. I look forward to interacting with the Com-Central community.

Sam Tucker (Chicago) JO_125th_Adler

Hi Adler,

Welcome to Com-Central Smile

To start of answering the avatar question, I'm not shure if you can link the piccie's in the public gallery to use as avatar, but one of the others around here could give you a conclusive answer on that subject.

As for the FS2002, we do have a dedicated server up 24/7 for fs2002 and fs2004, one point of attention is that you must have DX9.0c installed on your system, then you even can join in fs2004 flights, of wich as you probably have seen in the forums we are currently involved in a world tour of wich every sunday we fly a leg.

for Communications we use TeamSpeak, all info is available at the
fs2004 forum
sunday flights forum
there will be some issues between fs2002 and fs2004 but we can sort that out on average on the server fs2002 is reasonably compatible with fs2004 alltough some aircraft we use probably will not function or function only partially in fs2002.

Gruß, Adler, and welcome to Com-Central!

If you're going to join us on Sunday flights, at present we're using the brand new Beechcraft D18S by Milton Shupe, actually only for FS2004, but Milton is working on a version for FS2002 too, so it's just a matter of little for you to enjoy this beauty too Cool

Case you meet Fritzl there in Chicago, please pat his shoulder from me Mr. Green

Marco

Laughing LOL! I know Adler and Fritzl, and they have met face to face several times. I attempted to help him in getting his avatar working, but appearantly there was some miss understanding and he didn't get it working. I welcome him to Com-Central. I have to admit it didn't take too much talking to comvince him to join us here. I just had to suggest it as he was interested when I told him about the flights we do here. I hope he enjoys flying with us as much as I do. Mr. Green

~Saludos Todos~

Thanks for the help and advise, apparently the Avatar is working correctly. I don't know if that is due to the system catching up with my selection or the handiwork of one of you.

Yes Rodion, I know Fritz, he's just across town from me. We get together often, along with his lovely family.

WingNut is correct concerning my interests. My learning curve is may be lower then some, but I'll hang with it. Always takes me time to absorb new protocols.

Very happy to be here and looking to learn new skills.
