I am curious if anyone here knew a Lt Erik Scott? He was shot to death by Las Vegas police a couple weeks ago. He was a 1994 West Point graduate and an M1A1 platoon leader with the 1st Cav Division. He was legally carrying a concealed hand gun (CCW) and police say he pulled it out and pointed it at three officers who then shot him. Many witnesses say he didn't draw his weapon. I find it very hard to believe someone with his education, experience and background would do something this stupid. Anyway, thought someone here may have known him.

While it's truly a shame this happened, I don't see it's relevance to this site. I'm sure there are several other sites that cater to things like this.

I wrote 'off topic'. Why did you read it? Besides he was an Armor Officer who someone here may know and be interested in.
