Russell Military Museum - Photos as requested
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Many Many Thanks VB,

Did you notice that SN 22 had "Training Tank Only" welded across the front? She's one of a handful floating around on display that stayed in service to the very end, 30+ years. This one went through a complete rebuild, that's why she has the armored air cleaner boxes along with many other late upgrades. The big indicator of a complete rebuild are the Arm Housings I asked you to photograph. She's got the later heavier housings. These would not have been original and changing them all out would not occur except at depot level. The example I posted is of the earlier/lighter version only used the first year of manufacture. Lot of work and money spent just to keep a Non-Combat worthy tank in service.

On another note, I like the roller kit in front of the M60A3, too bad she's not a Roller tank, since then they could mount them and be the only such combo on display in the US (That I know of).

Thanks again VB
