Fiat 3000 remains discovered on a firerange in Hungary
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Remains of a Fiat 3000 tank were found some days ago in Hungary, near Várpalota, on an artillery range of Hungarian Defence Forces.

The hull was destroyed by HEAT weapons but many fragments and parts were found underground.

Five Fiat 3000 were bought in 1930 for testing (without armament), they were later used for training purposes. The Fiat tanks were removed from active service in 1942 and used as hard target.

information from Ferenc Bàlint.

Don't worry. A little work with a welder and some new sheet metal, and it will be ready for display Wink
