Type of turret on static defense bunker
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Post subject: Type of turret on static defense bunker
Currently located at Overloon, A tank casemate built in 1955 to be part of the static defences of Eindhoven airbase during the cold war.

From what type of tank is this turret?

It is a Staghound.
Some 20 yards away from the one in concrete, there is another example with the concrete removed.
All Staghound hulls used for this purpose had part of the rear armor cut off, also all interior dividing walls, axle tunnels and fittings were removed.

There is an turret like that in the storage location of Staman trading

On that modified turret the acces hatches on the top and the antenna base have been welded shut with an plate

The only major items remaining are the 2 periscopes that are mounted in front of the hatches
