New T-72 displayed on the ground of an Army base in France
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hello,

last week-end I had a little tour around the "Camp de Mailly" in France. This is where is located the CENTAC ("Centre d'ENTrainement Au Combat"; roughly the "Combat Training Center"). They have a T-72 there, which is on display since only few weeks :

There were so many military people in the area last week that I didn't try to get photos of the tank myself, but I'll go back there on Sunday and, hopefully, there will be less people around it. Hope that I'll be able to get the SN of that one !!

Hi,

There's a bit of overspray on the wheels, and it's too clean. Totally not realistic.

the unrealistic thing is that it has French desert pattern camo (type Daguet), it would have been better to paint it fully in sand rather than in sand/brown like this..

Polish built (November 1983) tank. JN should be T-72M (JLN (T-72M interim? and T72M1 JM1N?)

I don't have this sn in my database

thanks!

regards
Lesley
