What is this armoured car?
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Although heavily modified with non original wheels, wings and armament this vehicle was Humber Light Reconnaissance Car, probably Mark II or III.

For further details see the link: www.warwheels.net/Humb...INDEX.html

India had a large number of Humber LRC Mk III ( and a smaller number of Mk II & IIIA) and in the late 1940s had the bodies transferred to a dodge chassis. They appear to have been used mainly as officers runabouts or liaison vehicles.

The gun on that one is a dummy as the turrets were usually sealed up.
