A local museum with an M551 Sheridan (a runner, apparently!) tucked away getting period restorative work needs a couple of things to really complete the display appearance and possibly make available for "running" demonstrations. I thought I'd throw this out there and see if any of you guys with museum and private collections connections might be able to help out. The museum is apparently in a position to offer some compensation for the items if suitable, so it doesn't have to be a "freebie".

Needed are:

Two M551 road wheels with decent rubber on them.

Two sets of M551 track with rubber left on the pads.

I'll be checking back to see if a finite amount of track sections less than complete would do it, or if all of it's effectively shot. My impression is the latter.

Even if you have tenuous lead, PM me please with any info.

I was down at Jefferson City, Mo. at the MOARNG state headquarters a couple years ago taking pics. They have a school down there for most of their mait. MOSs. In their track park they had 2 M551A1 TTS VISMODS they got from Ft. Polk. There were several skids with spares. They had pacs and track. I think I remember seeing some loose roadwheels.
