AFVs in North Dakota
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The IPMS Winnipeg website which hosts my list of Preserved AFVs in Canada is currently undergoing some changes and reorganizing by our webmaster. It should be back up and running soon. In the meantime all the pictures can be found on my Photobucket page. Just search for my name and it should come up.

"Lemme guess: the turret had a large "836" cast into the side or top?"

The 836 is stamped into the right side of the rear hull plate and into the transmission cover near the comb. Understandably, this has led some to list it as the serial number. The 12558 is visible stamped into at least 3 corners of the hull and is the correct serial number. I had an email exchange with Joe DeMarco a while back about this and he explained the 836. I'll have to dig into the email archives to see if his explanation is still there after a couple of computer replacements. If it is, I will pass it on.
