The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

About the FlaK 88
Is it a real german build one or is it a Spanish license build copy

Is there something, like markings on the breech, that allows you to detect that?

could be, I don't realy know

I know 1 FlaK 88mm in the Netherlands that has some Spanish marking plates on it

Even if you would know some markings of the 88 at Saumuur, I can't tell if they would be correct

Hi Folks! Of the two 88mms I have seen here at Ft Bliss, both had markings on top of one of the legs, out near the end that had a serial number and year it was make. The 1st AD item that is here now is dated 1939 and the one that went to Ft. Still was dated 1940. Spot Report! Sgt, Scouts Out! _________________ "You can never have too much reconnaissance."
