Hi Folks!

For those who know their M108/M109 family of vehicles, please stop by the Artillery DG and check out my update to the Ft Bliss 155mm SP post. I have added four more pictures and a big question.

At first I was just a little confuzed because I didn't know how to tell which A# version that vehicle is. Now I am totally confuzed. Best I can tell, both of the new M109(what every they are) vehicles are not standard production vehicles.

Confuzed by field artillery!

As I posted over in the other forum, it's a M108. No mystery, someone stuck a tube on it to make it look like a M109A1.

I thought this forum included SPs, and the other was for towed? Anyway - nice pics!

We're kinda' casual about stuff like that, as you see. The "artillery forum" was kind of an afterthought when Neil wisely suggested we have one so towed pieces didn't annoy the dedicated treadheads. Heck, we even indulge "wheeled death traps" on occasion. Laughing

I guess I'm a 'dedicated treadhead' then as I don't visit that forum very often! Perhaps I should, as I'm interested in anything on tracks.

And.....you are missing some of the uber-cool stuff Massimo posts, tracks or not. I've learned a lot about my own pics looking at his (since he thought to take notes and label his pictures

I saw ARTILLERY and I though that would be for all things Artillery. That is why I posted the M109 photos over there.

Don't sweat it, Roy...nobody is going to whack your pee-pee for it. SPG's fall into that gray area. I'd like to see more participation on the artillery forum anyway, I've learned a lot looking in there and arty wasn't my thing either. Smile
