I've just read about this in a newsletter from Warstuff.com - it's an SU-76 recovered from the Danube, and now on its way to Vienna:

Warstuff.com itself is a new site selling militaria. It's not big on vehicles, but it does currently have a nice M8 on sale for £34k:

It fell off a pontoon bridge in spring 1945, the Su was found whilst repairing the bullwark on the river. Interesting they're finding it now. I recall a few years ago during my travels in 'Urp that there was quite a drought and all kinds of stuff was being found in the Danube because the river was down so much.

Hi Trevor The history of that Sherman (SN 57556, RN 30104238) is well known ( the recent history that is). It was saved from a Dutch molotov cocktail range.Moved to be part of the Poteau museum until two years ago. Then bought by a private collector in Turnhout (Belgium). As he already has another M4(105), a grizzly and 3 Stuarts, he sold it. More about it you can find here Michel
