FYI That vehicle is no longer there. It is currently in the TMP Ft Benning Ga. It arrived there within the past week or so. Regards Don

"Twister" is the one vehicle* that I regret never having gotten any time in, just for the "different" factor. Well, there's the M-41, but that was already obsolete before my time.

Hi Don, Would you have any other color photos taken during the testing procedures that you could post? I remember watching it on our black and white TV when it was first made and it has always been one of my favorite AFVs. Thank you. Paul

It is currently in the TMP Ft Benning Ga. It arrived there within the past week or so.

What "TMP" stands for ?

Are there a chance to get a photo of it for:

TMP = Transportation Motor Pool...which in current US use usually refers to a consolidated 'rental car' lot for an entire installation. The vehicles are usually managed by the Government Services Admistration (GSA) and are mainly civilian vehicles ranging from sedans/cars to vans and buses, with a handful of construction equipments thrown in. Generally no tactical or armored vehicles are available for loan, but the fenced enclosures are often used as temporary storage for cargo or trucks awaiting unloading.

I'm guessing that Twister is there because it has wheels, there is nowhere else to put it, and somebody has decided it could be stolen.
