(Off Topic) US Veterans & Saluting
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

About time! After 24 years in blue I never did get over the programming of popping a salute when I heard "To The Colors" or the National Anthem.

I want to spread the word because at the next 4th of July parade I don't want to be the only vet saluting!

It sailed through the senate, did it pass the house vote and become law (finally)?

I still haven't gotten into my head that I am in civilian cloths and don't have to salute officers when I'm on a military facility. Almost did that last week

Uhh I've been out for 23+ years and when I was down at Ft Jackson seeing my son at Graduation from Basic I almost saluted officers, especially when walking with him and his hand would go up Mr. Green
