LOSAT Vehicle
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Photos and data by LORAL. The line of Sight AT (LOSAT) vehicle was based on a Bradley Fighting Vehicle chassis. Rick

I found a few more photos in my garage today. The Fighting Vehicle System (FVS) chassis from FMC was used for the LOSAT.

Very nice photos, Rick.
By the way, there is a definite resemblance between the FVS carrier chassis and the new FFG PMMC (Protected Mission Module Carrier) G5

Thanks Costas. The FVS chassis came from the Bradley FV chassis back when FMC existed. The PMMC looks like an enlarged (upgraded) M113 chassis, which FMC experimented with also. It does look similar though. I'll be posting some more over the next few weeks, including some more photos of the Armored maintenance Vehicle (AMV) which I found a booklet on from FMC. I had forgot a lot of items that I had over the years! Got so busy working two jobs and being a single Dad! Take care, Rick

The configuration of the driver's and commander's compartments of the two vehicles is very similar, as is the hull shape and that caught my attention.
Keep the great photos coming.
All the best,
Costas.
