The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

I know there aren't that many still around. I guess our US friends will like this one. I tried to add something useful to the SN hunters out there too Smile

Thanks for that, I was only aware of three in anything like that kind of condition!

I see there is one in Tel Aviv and another in Saumur. Where are the others?

Well, that mades five then. There is one at Knox and one in Buenos Aires. The Argentine one lacks the fake "guns", but it is clearly visible where the weld marks were.

Unfortunately those are casting marks. Generally, SNs are stamped "in" to the hull. Casting marks are raised out...

No problem Massimo. I'd recommend downloading Jeff Lewis' Serial Number Guide, its very good & helpful.

Is that slotted thingy on the center transmission section a "Sherman Comb" variant? (there for same presumed purpose)?

FWIW "raised out" is called embossed. "Stamped in" is called debossed. believe you me the latter is a helluva lot easier to do! Laughing
