Most likely the most well-know gun in the austro-hungarian arsenal. It reached a mythical status among the italian troops in WW I, who feared it like axis tankers feared the Tiger in WW II.

The one you can see here is located in Rovereto, just outside the Museo della Guerra (war museum). The museum is located inside an old castle, mostly focused on WW I (the front was just a few kilometers away), it has WW II and ancient material too. Many uniforms and small arms, a good selection of WW I guns and a very good collection of trench mortars and minenwerfer from WW I. A beutifully restored Nieuport 10 plane is stored inside the castle as well.

This is a pretty big piece of hardware. Compare it to the window to get a better feeling Laughing
