I wanted to meet Roy Rogers when I was a kid. Ten years later I got to park his car at a North-South Shrine game at the LA Colisseum Shrine game in 1961.

I never thought to meet Emperor Haille Selassie of Ethiopia, but one day in the '70s a friend and I were trespassing in the Los Angles Harbor Ferry Building, when to our surprise, Tom Bradley, the Mayor, and the Lion Of Judah himself were about to tie up. We took a chance and welcomed him at the top of the ladder. "Welcome to Los Angeles, your Excellency," I stammered. You woud be surprised how many Rastafarians love to shake the hand that shook the hand.

Today out of the blue, Doug Kibbey called while I was getting an oil job, and suggested we get together. Wow... an old Army buddy I never met.

Doug Kibbey of the straight Ontos barrels at seven years old. An honor.

I can neither confirm nor deny the drinkin' part.
