The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Neil,

Here is a start on the photos you need from Camp Mabry in Austin, TX.

It will take me a bit to get all the shots posted, but I'm working on it.

Cheers!

The third M60A3 was by the roadside near the turn for the museum. I've included photos of it as well.

The second M60A3 looks like SN 2112A,

Between the lug shot and the back deck you can figure it out.

Your third M60A3 looks like a late Anniston rebuild. Early GEN 2 hull with late model turret and M1 Front Gun shroud. I'd be willing to bet she's got a small escape hatch and the SN is in the 3000's or above.

Looks like 3586A to me,

As far as the original A1 number, I'm inclined to believe it's 2680, mostly because the original "3's" I've seen stamped have a flat to to them instead of the rounded type. Either way she should have a small escape hatch.

Thanks for sharing, these plug up some gaps in my data base.

BTW, you wouldn't happen to have the SN's for the M60 or M60A1 ???
