Iraqi's get M1A1's
The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

The Iraqis have been using the M1A1 since January 2010....there are images on Getty Images showing them in a parade roll past.

I wonder if they'd like a few Tornado GR4? Looks like we've a few spare, plus Challengers and other surplus kit.

I dont know if the deals ever happened, but previously GD was trying to sell the Saudis M1's but they werent going to be genuine GI-- M1's sans all of the fancy toys and electonics and optics issued to our current military. Are these A1s the same? They all have genuine GI parts? Shawn
