The AFV ASSOCIATION was formed in 1964 to support the thoughts and research of all those interested in Armored Fighting Vehicles and related topics, such as AFV drawings. The emphasis has always been on sharing information and communicating with other members of similar interests; e.g. German armor, Japanese AFVs, or whatever.

Hi,

It's been covered before, but I figured I'd put it up for whoever might be interested.

Located at the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum, pics from March 2008, S/N 411.



Right next to the lifting eye, but I can't remember if this is on the front or back (I want to say back...):



Registration number (13E887, I think...the shiny paint made it really hard to discern):



I have more pics of it, if anyone needs to see more or something specific.

Common maintenance mistake~Note the dust cover around the main gun is too big. That's because this vehicle originally had the M81 Modified Gun/Launcher with a bore evacuator. When retubed with the M81E1 (as shown) it should have had the dust cover replaced. You see a lot of these including the one in the Littlefield collection.
